Beginning of this year, I felt called to paint Birds in large canvases. Over the years, my bird collections have been very warmly received, bringing joy not just to my collectors, but deeply to me as well. That’s what inspired me to dive deeper and explore them on a much larger scale.

Birds are at their most powerful in mid flight, free, untethered, and fully in their element. My intention is to capture that same energy on canvas, the joy, the movement, and the peace that comes with true freedom, so it can live on in a collector's home eventually.

Painting these birds not just stirred an emotion of freedom and peace in my artist soul, but I knew in the past it has struck a chord in those who chose to live with it in their home.
