What is a Live Wedding Painting?
A live wedding painting is a unique heirloom created on the spot during your wedding day, real time. It serves not only an entertainment for your guests who witness the creation process of an everlasting piece of art, but the painting also serves as a reminder of a special moment from the special day in your life to be cherished for years and generations to come.
HOW TO GET STARTED?
The first step is to take a peek at Pooja’s past works in the gallery below! If her artistic style resonates with you, next step is to submit the inquiry form below or email directly at poojaroystudio@gmail.com. Pooja will reach out with a few more questions to help her understand your needs and vision. You will be also invited to schedule a call with her to discuss your ideas if you’d like!
ARTISTIC STYLE FOR CONSIDERATION
Pooja paints with a mixture of realistic and impressionistic styles. She loves to capture the light and energy of the moment with expressive brushstrokes, vivid colors and textures. She also captures and includes all the details in the surroundings, such as the reception ballroom, or outdoor landscape during the ceremony, or the wedding arch filled with pretty florals and greenery, etc.
Before the wedding day, Pooja works closely with the bride and groom to select the pose they prefer in the portrait, such as first kiss at the ceremony, first walk down the aisle, first dance at the reception, or any other creative vision they may have. She also works with the couple to decide the number of guests and individuals to include in the portrait.
THE PROCESS
On the day of the wedding, Pooja and her assistant arrives at the venue 1.5 - 2 hours before the ceremony to set up and paint the background of the venue. She will take reference photos of the space and also the couple in their preferred pose. She paints the scene throughout the reception until the end of the night and interacts with guests as they watch her paint.
At the end of the night, the painting comes back to Pooja’s studio so that the finishing details, touch ups and varnishing can be completed and the painting is perfect before handing off to the bride and groom. The finished piece can be expected to be delivered or shipped (at no additional cost) no later than 6-8 weeks after the wedding date.
THE INVESTMENT
Packages below provide an estimate of pricing, which vary based on canvas size, the time frame of the ceremony and reception, and the number of people included in the painting. A 25% deposit and a signed agreement are required to secure the date. The remaining balance will be required 1 week before the wedding. I allow a small incremental payment plan till the week leading to the event date.
